Nothing does what lemur does really. There are other midi template creators but the scripting depth in lemur makes it immensely powerful. Sure, the editor is clunky and the language is (often frustratingly) limited. But it is also the most used app on my iPad and a core part of many of my music performances. MIDI stuff

You can now connect USB MIDI devices to the SC1000. You'll need a USB hub to be able to connect both your USB stick and USB MIDI device at the same time.

You should be able to use any class-compliant MIDI device.

The default MIDI mapping is :

Although some people face low RAM issue, you should not find any problem if you have at least 8 GB of RAM.There are only a few system images that support Google Play. This is possible to create many virtual machines and test app on each of them without any problem. Google android emulator. For example, this is possible to get a Pixel 2 XL look-a-like, Android TV emulator, Android Watch or anything that runs on Android. That means if you have installed Android Pie or something on a Pixel 2 XL emulator, there is a very low chance of getting Google Play Store in your virtual device. With the help of such virtual device, you can create and test your application before launching it publicly.

You can define your own MIDI mapping by editing scsettings.txt.

I've made a preset for the MIDI app Lemur, which runs on Android and iOS phones and tablets.

It uses the default MIDI mapping above, so you should use it without adding mappings to the scsettings.txt file.

The Android version can be connected to the SC1000 with a normal USB cable, but I believe the iOS version will need an adapter like the iConnectMIDI2+.

Steps to get this to work :

  • Install the Lemur app on your device
  • Install the Lemur editor on your computer (PC or Mac)
  • Download the SC1000 Lemur preset on your computer.
  • Connect your phone to your computer and download the preset to your device using the Lemur Editor (see advice below).
  • Set Lemur to use the appropriate MIDI port.
  • Connect your mobile device to the SC1000, and turn it on.
  • For android devices, you'll have to switch your device to MIDI mode :
    • Wait till you get a notification on your phone about 'Charging this phone via USB' and change it to 'MIDI via USB'. You have to do this within 5 seconds of the SC1000 audio starting, but you can give yourself more time by editing the 'mididelay' option in the scsettings.txt file

I found transferring the preset from my computer to my phone to be a massive pain in the arse, and the Lemur staff less than helpful. You're supposed to connect them both to the same network and then the Editor automatically detects the phone, but I found I had to connect my phone to my computer via USB and enable USB tethering before it would connect, and even then I had to fiddle with the IP settings in the editor.

In this article we will familiarize you with the Lemur app and get it up and running on your machine. If you are already familiar with Lemur, you can skip this and go straight to Installing MK Products.

All MIDI Kinetics Lemur controllers are built on Lemur. In order to use MIDI Kinetics Lemur controllers, you must own the Lemur app. Lemur is available for purchase on the App Store and Google Play.

What is Lemur?

Lemur is an app for iOS/Android that allows you to design your own touchscreen controller for your music equipment. Use buttons and sliders and switches (and more!) to design useful layouts to enhance your productivity, and interact with your equipment in new ways.

MIDI Connectivity

Lemur can talk to pretty much any modern digital music equipment because it transmits standard MIDI messages. Use Lemur to control recording software (DAWs), synths, orchestral sample libraries, live music equipment, mixing consoles, digital instruments, and more! Lemur also supports Open Sound Control (OSC).

The Lemur Editor

Lemur comes with the Lemur Editor for macOS/Windows which makes it easy to create custom layouts with a simple drag and drop interface. Take a look at the free library of user-created projects in the Lemur User Library.

Custom Scripts!

But what makes Lemur uniquely powerful is its deep scripting capabilities. With a little coding, you can create sophisticated controllers that can do almost anything– even custom drawing and animations!

Installing Lemur

  1. On your mobile device, purchase the Lemur app on the App Store/Google Play.
  2. Next, go to https://liine.net and download the Lemur Installer for your Mac/PC. This will install the Lemur Editor.

If you are having issues with Liine’s website you can find updated information here.

Installing MIDI

Lemur communicates using MIDI messages, so you will need some way to connect MIDI from your mobile device to your computer. Lemur can connect to 8 MIDI devices simultaneously. There are a number of popular solutions for connecting MIDI to mobile devices, both wired and wireless:

If you are on macOS, you are in luck. Lemur for macOS includes the Lemur Daemon, which gives you 8 bidirectional MIDI ports…for free! It supports both wired and wireless connections out of the box! The Daemon will be installed along with the Lemur Editor.

Using the Lemur Editor

Lemur Editor File Types

Lemur projects are just text files with one of two file extensions: .jzml, or .jzlib.

  • .jzml files represent entire Lemur projects. To open a .jzml file, simply double-click and it will open in the Lemur Editor.
  • .jzlib files represent Lemur submodules. They can be exported and imported to existing .jzml projects. To import a .jzlib file, right click anywhere in the Lemur Editor window and select Import.

Transferring Lemur Editor projects to/from Lemur app:

Once you’ve created a controller you like, you can transfer it wirelessly to the Lemur app.

  1. In the Lemur Editor, click the Connections Triangle at the top right and select your mobile device from the list.
  2. Choose Connect to transfer from the Editor to the app.
  3. Choose Download to transfer from the app to the Editor.

If you don’t see your mobile device in the list of available devices, make sure your PC and your mobile device are on the same network, and that the Lemur app is currently running on your mobile device.

Thanks in advance. Can xbox play with mac minecraft. I'm at my wits end.

Emulating Touches

While working in the Editor, emulate touches by holding the E key on your computer keyboard while you click.

Making MIDI Connections with Lemur Targets

Often you will want to group related controls onto the same MIDI connection. Use Lemur Targets to define a group. There are 8 Targets, numbered 0-7.

To connect a Target to MIDI:

  1. Launch Lemur on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the cog-wheel icon at the top-right corner, and go to More Settings…
  3. Connect MIDI inputs under the From column.
  4. Connect MIDI outputs under the To column.
